A woman has been killed after being struck by a train on Thursday evening. An Irish Rail spokesperson confirmed that the woman died shortly before 5:30pm. The incident took place on the line near Killonan level crossing. She was hit by a train that was travelling from Dublin to Limerick. Irish Rail has since suspended train services between Limerick and Limerick Junction as emergency services attended the incident on the line.
