This is SO handy.

This is SO handy.

Deliveroo has expanded its service and will now deliver food to you while you’re sitting in a park. That’s right – you can head along to a park on a nice summer’s day and order food while you’re there.

Sure, who doesn’t like eating al fresco?

This new service is only available in select parks in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Belfast.

How it works

1.     Download or open the app for iOS or Android

2.     Enter your location

3.     Drop the delivery pin at the nearest park entrance

4.     Head over once you get the delivery notification and meet your rider

Here are the parks that you can order to:

Dublin

Stephen’s Green

Fitzwilliam Square

Merrion Square

Iveagh Gardens

Cork

Fitzgerald Park

Bishop Lucey Park

Limerick

People’s Park

Arthur’s Quay Park

Galway

Kennedy Park, Eyre Square

Millennium Children’s Park

South Park

Woodquay Park

Belfast

Gasworks

Ormeau Park

Botanic Gardens

Belfast City Hall

Speaking about the new service, Liam Keenan, General Manager of Deliveroo Ireland said:

“When the heat wave hit this week, we saw a huge surge in demand and customers are thrilled that they can order directly to the park where they’re hanging out enjoying the sun or seeking some shade.

We’ll deliver to all the major parks in the five cities we operate in so all you have to do is grab the spot and we’ll bring the grub to you! It’s that simple.”
