Don’t cover up just yet… temperatures are on the rise again today

The past weekend wasn't great at all with rain and gusty winds, but it looks like things are looking up today - and for most of the week. Met Éireann said: "Today will be mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells in the east. However, cloudier conditions in the west and northwest with patchy rain and drizzle will gradually extend eastwards but rain and drizzle will die away.

"Towards evening cloud may break again to give a few bright or sunny spells. Top temperatures will be 17 to 22 degrees, warmest in the south and east." And for the rest of the week, it's set to stay warm. "Top temperatures will be 17 to 19 degrees in the west and northwest, but it will be warm elsewhere with temperatures reaching 20 to 23 degrees. Winds will increase moderate to fresh west to southwesterly." On Wednesday morning, we're going to see a bit of rain, but "the rain will clear to showers on Wednesday evening. Highest temperatures between 17 and 21 degrees early in the day, with moderate to fresh southerly winds veering southwesterly with the clearing rain and introducing cooler, fresher conditions."
