Army bomb disposal team respond to hand grenade in Dublin

Gardaí called in an Army team to assess the device.

Shortly after lunchtime on Monday afternoon, Gardaí called in an Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team to assess a situation in Ballsbridge in Dublin.

According to Dublin Live, a bomb disposal team were called to the Dublin 4 area after a suspected hand grenade was found in the nearby river Dodder.

A bridge near the Herbert Park Hotel area is currently under surveillance by the team and people are being stopped from crossing the bridge as operations continue.

The video below sees the army disposal team at work carrying out a controlled explosion in the area.
