Dublin Fire brigade tackled a fire at Dublin primary school this morning

Four units from of Dublin Fire Brigade from Rathfarnham, Dolphins Barn, and Donnybrook, battled a blaze at a Dublin primary school for over two hours this morning.

The fire was reported to emergency services at around 4 am after smoke and flames were spotted coming from a window at Scoil Naithí in Ballinteer.

Dublin Fire Brigade fought the flames at the gaelscoil on Stone Masons Way for over two hours.

The Irish Independent reports that the fire appears to have been contained to the left section of the primary school’s main entrance. Although the cause of the fire at the primary school is unknown, Gardai are at the location this morning and the scene is now being preserved for technical examination.

The school, which has over two hundred pupils, will remain closed today.
