Motorists in Dublin are advised to plan their journey ahead as Luas works are set to cause disruption in the city centre from tonight.
Part of the South Quays, Burgh Quay and Aston Quay, will be closed for works from 8pm on Friday, August 4th, until 6am on Saturday, August 12th.
The closure is in place to facilitate Luas Cross City works and diversions will be in place through D'Olier St and College Green, where the normal restrictions for private cars will be lifted. O'Connell Street will remain open to traffic in both directions during this time.
A number of bus routes will be affected by the works and diversion are also in place.
Those planning to attend any games at Croke Park or at the Aviva Stadium during this period are advised to approach the city from the north or south by using the M50.
