Dublin Shopping Centre Adding 60 New Shops And An Ice Rink

Liffey Valley looks set to change dramatically

West Dublin looks set to become a major new shopping attraction if this development plan by the owners of Liffey Valley comes to pass.

The Irish Times has reported that the owners of the centre have submitted an application to build an ice-skating arena and space for 60 new shops, which will completely transform the place.

According to Hines Ireland, a co-owner of the centre, the skating arena will be of Olympic standard and will have capacity for an audience of 2,500. It will host skating competitions, live entertainment and ice hockey matches.

If the application is approved, the centre could see a whopping 22,000 square metres of space freed up for new shops to open up in.

Catch us there, skating around the rink laden down with shopping bags.

Thanks to the lads at JOE for their help on this one!
