They need to get the finger out and get on with it, especially with the Ed Sheeran concerts coming down the tracks."The GAA had offered to pay part of the fee for the completion, but Cork City Council wanted a significantly higher amount. While there is a long way to go until Ed's May 4 concert, there has been some doubt cast over it. The lighting that is needed allows for a safe exit for pedestrians from the stadium. Commenting on what has been done until there is a resolution, stadium manager Bob Ryan said:
"We hired 13 mobile lighting towers for the various approach roads at the weekend. We did the best we could. I would hope that we can resolve the issue in the coming weeks."
