'A national duty to rape her'

How disgusting.

An Egyptian lawyer said that it’s a “national duty” to rape women who walk out in public in revealing clothes.

Nabih al-Wahsh, a conservative in the country, made the comments during a TV panel discussion.

According to Variety, Nabih said: “Are you happy when you see a girl walking down the street with half of her behind showing?”

“I say that when a girl walks about like that, it is a patriotic duty to sexually harass her and a national duty to rape her,” he said on the Infrad Show.

After the comments were made, there was public outcry, with The National Council filing a complaint against the lawyer.

It said: “All the members of the council denounce and decry this statement that explicitly promotes rape and sexual harassment.”
