Irish swimmer Ellen Walshe has snatched up the silver medal in the 400m Individual Medley at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Not only did she secure the silver medal, but Ellen also managed to smash the Irish record twice while doing so.

That record only lasted a matter of hours as Ellen managed to crush it again when it came to the final, winning silver in a time of 4:26.52, followed by Canada's Tessa Cieplucha who won gold.
Not only is Ellen making strides, but fellow swimmer Mona McSharry has also broken an Irish record in the 50m Breaststroke final.
