Emergency services rush to petrol station in Donegal following explosion

People have been injured.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of an explosion at a service station in the An Craoslach area of Co Donegal.

It is believed that several people have been left seriously injured as a number of ambulances attend the scene.

According to RTE, one witness said that a helicopter is also responding to the explosion.

Independent Councillor John O’Donnell said to the broadcaster that there was a “massive explosion” which has caused damage to a shop and apartment complex.

In a statement, gardaí said they are “assisting other emergency services at the scene of a serious incident”.

Gardaí have also asked any road users travelling to An Craoslach to consider alternative routes.
