Mark Jordan was arrested this week for allegedly attacking and biting a 67-year-old man.
The
Emmerdale actor is said to have beaten and bitten the man following an argument in a pub.
Jordan, who plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap, allegedly followed the victim and his partner down a lane after they left the pub in Oldham, Jordan's hometown.
The 67-year-old told
The Sun that he had been bitten by the actor three times.
He said: “He was like a wild animal. He bit me three times and went for my eye."
The man's partner added that he was "badly beaten" and that Jordan was handcuffed by an off-duty police officer at the scene.

A source told the publication that "something has to have been said at the pub."
"Apparently, Mark attacked him and bit him three times," they said.
“He had wounds on his thumb, hand and near his eye.
"He has not been in a good way and says a chunk was bitten out of his hand. He was taken to hospital.”
A reporter for
The Sun doorstepped Jordan to ask about the incident on Friday.
He said: "No comment, mate."
Police said that a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault but was later released.
