Emmerdale's Mark Jordan arrested for allegedly attacking and 'biting' 67-year-old man
Mark Jordan was arrested this week for allegedly attacking and biting a 67-year-old man.
The Emmerdale actor is said to have beaten and bitten the man following an argument in a pub.
Jordan, who plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap, allegedly followed the victim and his partner down a lane after they left the pub in Oldham, Jordan's hometown.
The 67-year-old told The Sun that he had been bitten by the actor three times.
He said: “He was like a wild animal. He bit me three times and went for my eye."
The man's partner added that he was "badly beaten" and that Jordan was handcuffed by an off-duty police officer at the scene.
A source told the publication that "something has to have been said at the pub."
“He had wounds on his thumb, hand and near his eye.
"He has not been in a good way and says a chunk was bitten out of his hand. He was taken to hospital.”
A reporter for The Sun doorstepped Jordan to ask about the incident on Friday.
He said: "No comment, mate."
Police said that a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault but was later released.
