Enjoy the sun while it lasts because it’s going to break

Say it isn’t so!

Just when we were getting used to the extremely nice weather it’s all going to be a distant memory on Saturday morning. If you’ve made plans to go to the beach then you might want to rethink that.

Met Eireann has issued weather warnings for most places tomorrow with rain affecting most of the country. The rain will begin later this evening and overnight but will begin to clear in Munster in the late morning and over Connacht and Leinster in the afternoon and evening.

The following rainfall warnings are in place:

Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan – from the early hours of Saturday until 3pm.

Donegal – from midnight on Saturday until 6pm.

Connacht, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick – between 9 o’clock tonight until 6am on Saturday.

During the day on Saturday temperatures will range between 15 to 20 degrees.

Sunday is better with dry sunny spells expected. Again, temperatures will be in the late teens. The outlook for next week is mixed with dry sunny conditions forecast for Monday, but the rain will return on Tuesday to western parts of the country.
