Enjoy the sunshine today – there’s a DRAMATIC change coming later in the week

Ugh...

Anna O'Rourke

It couldn’t last forever.

Make sure to get out into the sunshine today or tomorrow if you can because the weather is soon set to take a grim turn.

We’ve enjoyed glorious highs of 22 degrees but Met Éireann has warned that we’re in for heavy rain and a drop in temperatures later in the week.

The forecaster is predicting that while tomorrow will be dry and sunny, there’ll be a change on Wednesday.

We can expect showery outbreaks of rain with a cold front moving up the country.

We may get some heavy and thundery showers later in the afternoon and evening and highs of between 13 and 17 degrees, though temperatures could reach 18 or 19 degrees in parts of Ulster.

nasty weather

It’s much the same for Thursday – showers or longer spells of rain with some heavy and thundery falls are forecast, though there will be some sunny spells through cloudy patches.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees and fresh and gusty winds are also expected.

There’ll be continued low pressure on Friday and into the weekend, making for cool, wet and windy weather.

There will be some dry and bright spells. Maximum temperatures are set to range from around 9 to 13 degrees.
