Darkness Into Light takes place this weekend and is one of the most important days of the year in the battle against suicide and self-harm.
Organised by Pieta House, the 5K walk will take place at over 80 locations in Ireland and abroad at 4.15am this Saturday May 9th and aims to raise funds to sustain its nine suicide crisis centres and awareness of suicide in Ireland.
With just days to go, Pieta House are inviting people to sign up here to take part in this year’s event and have released a video which sees RTÉ presenter Eoghan McDermott, GAA star Conor Cusack and poet Ryan Mangan perform a moving poem Pitchfork Branches, which was also written by Mangan.
