EU ambassadors have agreed to accept the UK's request for a Brexit extension until 31 January 2020.
The news was announced this morning through a tweet by European Council President, Donald Tusk.
He wrote:
"The EU27 has agreed that it will accept the UK's request for a #Brexit extension until 31 January 2020."
"The decision is expected to be formalised through a written procedure."

Over the weekend, the 27 member states discussed the request for an extension.
The discussions began when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson grudgingly applied for an extension via an unsigned letter on 19 October.
