The pair have been together for 30 years

The former James Bond actor and Keely Shaye Smith have been married since 2001 and are often praised for their iconic Hollywood love story.

The Irish actor tied the knot with Keely 10 years after his first wife, Cassandra Harris, to whom he was married for 11 years, sadly died due to ovarian cancer.

Fans were quick to jump to Keely's defence after a troll left a crude comment about ageing.

The troll took to X to share two photos of the couple beside each other, one from 1996 and another from 2008, writing that marriage should be 'avoided'.

One person clapped back, writing: "We should avoid marrying a beautiful woman in case we find happiness and grow old with her?"

Another wrote: "She is such a beautiful woman. How lucky they are to share that bond over so many years. Beautiful," while a third commented: "Loser behaviour for clicks makes you an even BIGGER loser btw!"

Just last year, Pierce and Keely marked 30 years together, having dated for about seven years before tying the knot.

Pierce and Keely met at a party in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Near the end of 2024, Keely posted a collection of throwback photos to celebrate their 30th anniversary, describing the day she met Pierce as her “lucky day.”

She wrote: "How could I have known as I walked around the corner and into your life that my destiny was about to change forever?

"Thanking my lucky stars that I dared to introduce myself to you and forever grateful for the connection and family we share three decades later."

They are parents to sons Dylan and Paris, who are building names for themselves in the entertainment industry, much like their famous parents.
