Ellen Tannam

Negotations on the possibility of forming a future government are continuing today, with Fine Gael holding talks with Independent TDs.

According to RTÉ News, a document on justice and equality was circulated at the meeting with Independents and the Green Party promising the recruitment of more gardaí and emergency response staff.

Fíanna Fáil will also be holding roundtable talks with Independent TDs next Monday and Tuesday, as it emerges the Green Party have pulled out of talks with both FF and FG and will try and help form a government from the opposition benches instead.

Enda Kenny has said he will not make contact with Fíanna Fáil until a document is prepared to bring to them before negotiations can commence.
