
Former First Lady Nancy Reagan has died aged 94-years old.
The former Hollywood actress, who was married to Ronald Reagan in 1952, is believed to have died at her home in Bel Air.
The former actress suffered from congestive heart failure.
The former first lady supported her husband through his presidency, until his death from Alzheimer’s disease in 2004.
Reagan was an actress when she met Ronald Reagan in the early 1950s, then an actor and president of the Screen Actors Guild.
She became one of the most influential women in American politics, and was an active volunteer with charities and minority groups.
Confirming the news, Reagan’s rep Joanne Drake released a statement, writing:
"Mrs. Reagan will be buried at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, next to her husband, Ronald Wilson Reagan, who died on June 5, 2004."
