Art of Coffee owner Ruslan Mocharskyy has opened a store in Dublin that is providing food, baby supplies, toys and more for Ukrainian refugees arriving in Ireland and it’s all free of charge.
Opening Palyanytsya on Clarendon Street, the store is named after a Ukrainian flatbread and is a distinct word that it is extremely difficult for non-Ukrainians to say.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine last month, Ruslan has been raising money and collecting donations using Art of Coffee shops across Dublin as drop-off points for physical donations.
The coffee shop also has a donation page that has raised over €22,000 for the “humanitarian, medical, pharmaceutical, housing and travel needs” for Ukrainians.

The Clarendon Street charity store also has a coffee shop that will allow people to “meet other Ukrainians who have made the journey” and the goods in the store have all been donated by the Irish public and businesses.
Posting on Instagram, Art of Coffee revealed that the store will also have a hairdresser in store and an information centre “where you can get advice and answers to pressing questions.”
They wrote: “The purpose of the Center is to provide displaced people from Ukraine with clothing and essentials. And all this is ABSOLUTELY FREE.
“There will also be an Information Center, where you can get advice and answers to pressing questions. A hairdressing service will also be provided.
“Ukrainians in Ireland need your help and support. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU TODAY!”
The store is also looking for volunteers for various positions within the shop.
