THIS IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION regarding the thief that looks just like Ross Geller.
On 23 October, Blackpool Police department issued an appeal for information regarding a robbery of a local restaurant.
The theft occurred on 20 September and from the CCTV footage, the man appeared to be smuggling alcohol out of the premises.
Blackpool Police took to social media asking people to get in touch if they knew anything.
The response may not be what they anticipated however as many people were quick to point out that the man in question bore an uncanny resemblance to Friends actor, David Schwimmer.
Yep, this is “The One With The Doppelganger” as the thief is the IMAGE of Ross Geller.
The comment section of the original Facebook post blew up and each witty remark was better than the last. One person wrote:
“Lay off him. He grew up with Monica. IF YOU DIDNT EAT FAST YOU DIDNT EAT.”
Whilst another added:
“Guys this is serious…it was a robbery based on giving and receiving as well as having and sharing. And the stolen items that they give and have is shared and received. And through this having and giving and sharing and receiving, we too can share and love and have… and receive.”
And others made some more niche Friends references saying:
“I think I bought a falafel from him yesterday.”
Now, in the most Ross Geller fashion, David Schwimmer has been forced to take to Twitter to clear his name. The star insisted he was in New York at the time of the UK robbery and posted a video of him *not stealing alcohol.

The video has gotten 132,000 retweets since it was posted last night and people are loving David Schwimmer for being such a good sport about the whole thing.

Blackpool Police have added to their original Facebook post, underscoring Schwimmer’s innocence:
“Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date. We’re so sorry it has to be this way.”
David is apparently doing alright since the scandal unfolded. We’re sure it was just the “pressure of entertaining” made him do it…
