Frost expected as temperatures set to plummet to -3 degrees tonight

This week was nothing but a washout.

Between chilling temperatures and plenty of rainfall, it hasn't been the most pleasant start to April but thankfully, Met Eireann has reported that sunnier days are on the way. According to the forecast, an easterly flow will continue into the early days of next week bringing a mix of dry and bright weather with some showers. Monday is set to be the hottest day with temperatures soaring to 16 degrees. These warmer temperatures are set to continue into Tuesday with highs of 14 degrees predicted throughout the country. But before the temperatures rise, we're going to see them drop again tonight.

"There will be showers on Thursday night, most frequent in the west and north." "Clearer spells in the south and east will result in frost with lows of 0C to -3C, slightly higher for Ulster and Connacht with lows of 1C to 4C. "Winds will be mostly light variable, except in the north where they will be moderate to fresh easterly, later southeasterly.
