Thousands of fans gathered in Dublin to say their goodbyes to beloved musician, Shane MacGowan.
The streets of Dublin were lined with heartbroken fans as the procession made its way through the city.
On what is an incredibly heartbreaking day for her, Shane's wife, Victoria Mary Clarke took time to thank Gardaí.
As the cortège made its way from Dublin to Tipperary, she took a moment to praise Gardaí for helping.
"Thank you so much @GardaTraffic for your help today and for the escort for Shane MacGowan," she shared on X.

Fans honoured Shane MacGowan by having a music session as his funeral cortège passed Westland Row.
According to reports, fans broke into song and sang Fairytale of New York, as well as Dirty Old Town.
Shane's funeral mass was held at St Mary’s of the Rosary Church, Nenagh at 3.30 pm.
Following the funeral mass, the public will have the opportunity to pay their respects as the funeral cortege moves through Nenagh Town Centre from Church Road to Market Cross.
Shane MacGowan sadly passed away at the age of 65 on November 30th.
His wife penned a heartbreaking tribute following his passing.
Victoria Mary Clarke said Shane was the love of her life in the emotional statement.
"I don’t know how to say this so I am just going to say it. Shane who will always be the light that I hold before me and the measure of my dreams and the love of my life, the most beautiful soul and beautiful angel and the sun and the moon and the start and end of everything that I hold dear has gone to be with Jesus and Mary and his beautiful mother Therese.
"I am blessed beyond words to have met him and to have loved him and to have been so endlessly and unconditionally loved by him."
Victoria said she is beyond blessed for the years she got to be with Shane MacGowan.
