Furious man walks into an Apple store and smashes every iPhone in sight

He's very unhappy about something

Matt Tate

Not your average afternoon shopping.

Customers at an Apple Store in France were left open-mouthed when a man strolled in and went on what can only be described as an iPhone-smashing rampage.

According to Mashable the incident happened at the world’s most valuable company’s Dijon branch, and the man – dressed in jeans and a hoodie and wearing a single glove – used a steel ball found in the bowling game pétanque to wreak havoc on thousands of pounds (or Euros, really) worth of gadgetry.

He begins smashing the phones one by one as staff tentatively attempt to stop him.

Then the guy, believed to be in his thirties, turns to the camera and begins shouting in French: “Apple is a company that violated European consumers’ rights.

“They refused to reimburse me, I told them ‘Give me my money back’. They said no. So you know what’s happening? This is happening!”

Eventually – and we’re talking at least 10 very dead iPhones later – a security guard intervenes and throws him out. If you watch the video in its entirety they can be seen having a physical exchange at the end.

The man hasn’t been named yet and is reportedly in custody as police begin to investigate exactly what happened.
