A man is his 60s has died following a fatal shooting in Co. Mayo.
Gardaí arrested a man in his 80s after the incident which occurred at approximately 11:55pm on Tuesday night in Aghamore, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo.
The man is currently being detained at Castlebar Garda Station.
The scene has been persevered for technical examination. An incident room has been established at Claremorris Garda Station.
