Someone in Ireland has sax on the brain…

In The Commitments, the beloved character of Joey ‘The Lips’ Fagan first introduced himself and his trumpet playing abilities “on a f**king Suzuki”.

Well, it’s clear to see that his legacy lives on.

This being said, we’re not quite sure if this motorist on the M50 is on a similar mission to being soul to the people of Ireland, but we’d like to think that they are!

As they usually do, An Garda Síochána were patrolling the roads and motorways of Ireland and their M50 motorway patrol discovered a van driver that had a very saxy secret.

After noticing that this particular van was parked on the hard shoulder, the Gardaí went in for a closer inspection. Moments later, they discovered that the driver was parked because they wanted to play the saxophone.

We wonder if the Gardaí that was at the scene had ‘the sax talk’ with his particular musician?

An Garda Síochána shared the news on their official Twitter feed and warned motorists to “never stop on motorways except in emergencies or when instructed by Gardaí or emergency services.”

Life on the road, eh?
