Gardaí have launched an investigation into an alleged assault in Kerry.
A Garda spokesperson told JOE that the alleged incident is reported to have occurred in Tralee Town Park in Tralee on Wednesday (24 August).
The town was very busy on Tuesday night as it was the last night of the popular Rose of Tralee Festival, though there has been no suggestion of a link between the alleged assault and the celebrations.
Gardaí have, meanwhile, not identified the nature of the alleged assault.
“Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that is reported to have occurred on Wednesday 24 August 2022, in Tralee Town Park, Tralee,” the spokesperson said.
“Investigations are ongoing into this matter. No further information is available at this time.”
