The incident occurred this morning.
Gardaí are investigating the assault and attempted abduction of a woman in her 60s.
The woman was approached by a man at approximately 7.30am this morning in the Martin’s Grove/Blackhorse Avenue area of Dublin 7.
The man attempted to force the woman into the boot of a car before she managed to flee the scene.
The car, described as a silver family saloon, drove towards Dublin city centre via Blackhorse Avenue. It may have turned off towards the Navan Road.
Gardaí in Cabra are hoping to speak to anybody who was in the area on January 6 between the hours of 6am and 8am who has information regarding the incident.
They are also appealing for motorists who were driving in the Blackhorse Avenue area during this time who may have dashcam footage.
