The woman was reported missing on Tuesday night.
Gardaí are investigating after the body of woman was recovered off the Clare coast.
The woman’s body was recovered on Wednesday (March 23) morning, following a land, air and sea search by the Irish Coast Guard’s marine rescue sub centre from Valentia Island in Kerry.
The woman had been reported missing from north Clare on Tuesday.
The Clare Champion reports that the body was recovered just after 8.30am near Aill Na Searrach. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The search was aided by a rescue helicopter, Coast Guard personnel, Gardaí and the Aran Islands RNLI lifeboats.
Gardaí are currently investigating the death.
