Gardaí are investigating the death of a child in Waterford. A statement confirmed that the infant was found dead in "unexplained circumstances" at a domestic premises on Tuesday afternoon. The discovery was made at 2pm. A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating the death of an infant in unexplained circumstances at a domestic premises in Waterford which occurred on Tuesday, 18 February 2020 at approximately 2pm." A post-mortem is due to be carried out and this will determine the course of the investigation.
