
Gardaí are investigating a fatal stabbing in Lucan this morning
A man has been arrested.
A Garda investigation is currently underway after a man was fatally stabbed in Lucan, Co Dublin last night.
According to RTÉ, it is believed the victim was stabbed in a residential area just before midnight.
Gardaí have already arrested a man in connection to the incident.
The scene has been since been preserved for a forensic examination.
The age or nationality of the victim has not been confirmed.

Meanwhile, it emerged yesterday that four members of the force, from the Leinster area, were suspended from duty after they allegedly took cocaine.
The incident apparently happened at a Christmas party at the end of last year.
Reports claim that they were celebrating in a Kildare nightclub, yet it is unknown who brought the matter to their superiors.
The suspensions are part of a garda internal disciplinary probe, and no arrests have been made.
