“There is nothing at this stage to suggest that the incident is suspicious in any way.”

A baby girl is said to be “in a bad way” after an incident in Dublin yesterday evening.

The infant was rushed to hospital yesterday evening after a serious fall at an apartment complex.

She fell from a window on the third-floor of an apartment block in the Tyrellstown area to the north-west of the city at around 6pm.

Gardaí have said that the little girl was ‘under the age of two’.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Temple Street Children’s Hospital for urgent care.

Officers from nearby Blanchardstown Garda Station answered a call and attended the scene at around 6.30pm.

They have since launched an investigation into the fall, which they currently believe to have been a tragic accident.

“The child is in a bad way, but there is nothing at this stage to suggest that the incident is suspicious in any way,” a source told The Irish Independent.

The baby is now believed to be in a serious condition in hospital.
