Gardaí in Dublin are urging witnesses to come forward after an incident in Saggart
A man in his 20s has been charged over an alleged serious assault on a 10-year-old girl.
The serious assault reportedly happened in Saggart, Co. Dublin.
The man appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this morning and has been remanded in custody.
He will appear at Cloverhill District Court for a bail application.
The male, aged 26, was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin region.
Gardaí are urging witnesses to come forward following the alleged serious assault in Saggart.
In a statement, Gardaí urged anyone with information to come forward.
"Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in connection with the investigation into an alleged assault of a female juvenile, reported to have occurred at Saggart, Co. Dublin on Monday, 20th October 2025.
"An Garda Síochána would like to speak to any persons who was in the City West Drive, Garter Lane, City West Luas Stop, or Saggart Luas Stop areas between 11:00 pm on Sunday, 19th October 2025, and 01:30 am on Monday, 20th October 2025."
