Gardaí raid and shut down illegal shebeen in Co Offaly

Gardaí shut down suspected shebeen in Edenderry, Co Offaly.

Gardaí in Edenderry, Co Offaly, raided a suspected shebeen as part of Operation Navigation yesterday, seizing a significant amount of alcohol in the process. There were a number of people drinking alcohol when the Gardaí arrived and there were alleged breaches of liquor licencing legislation going on. The people consuming alcohol at the premises will be hit with a fixed fine in an alleged breach of Regulation 4 of the Health Act. A significant amount of alcohol was also located at the premises, including a number of kegs, that were all seized during the operation.

Offaly Gardaí found a number of persons on a premises today consuming alcohol.
