Get out the sun-cream lads as we are about to have a super sunny weekend!

Sun worshippers will be thrilled to hear that Met Eireann have announced that the sun will be making a return this Saturday, with temperatures set to reach the high teens.

The mini-heat wave is due to last until next week, but don’t fear, because as we welcome the first weekend of October, the temperatures are set to rise yet again!

Reportedly, it will be cool before temperatures rise to 17-19 degrees on Saturday, which is due to last until Tuesday.

The weekend overall is set to be clear and dry, with temperatures reported to be above average for this time of year.

Ireland will be on par with many sun destinations if the temperatures reach 19 degrees, with many top holiday spots all sitting in and around the 20 degree mark this coming weekend.

It is reported that the lucky midlanders will get the best of this upcoming warm spell.

The temperatures are set to dip on Tuesday but then get hotter again next Friday.

The upcoming spate of warm weather is being attributed to pressure that is pushing up from the south that will feed into warm air.

Although tomorrow is set to get off to a damp and drizzly start don’t worry, as the day is set to clear up into a beautiful mild afternoon.
