Get the woolies out…

With the country still feeling the after-effects of Storm Clodagh, it doesn’t look like things will be getting better anytime soon.

Temperatures are set to plummet to -4C this week as Arctic winds sweep across the country, bringing strong winds and snow with a generous helping of sleet and heavy rain.

Following the weekend’s status orange warnings, motorists are still warned to be careful as flooding is predicted due to the heavy downpours all over the country.

The latest rainfall radar looks pretty grim:

Met Eireann said sleet and snow will fall in Ulster, however as the day progresses things will clear up and become drier and brighter in the north, but remain pretty grim in the southern counties.

Storm Clodagh left 4,000 people without power this weekend and resulted in the cancellation of a number of flights.

She’s off up to Scotland and will push on through to Scandinavia… we won’t miss her.
