Going On A J1? Irish Law Students Have Put Together A Brilliant Handbook

This is so handy.

Ellen Tannam

J1 season is just around the corner, and hordes of Irish students will soon arrive in the States for one of the summers of their lives.

While you might just be concentrating on the fun aspects of the trip, there are some important things worth looking into, like tenancy and employment laws in the city you’ll call home for the summer.

Conor Davis from Trinity got in touch to tell us about the handy guide:

“It details general J1 information, as well as the legal rights and obligations of students regarding employment, tenancy and criminal law in the most popular J1 destinations: New York, California, and Massachusetts.”

It has also been totally approved by US authorities, which means you should get reading it below now.

“It has also been reviewed by US attorneys and the Consuls General in the US to ensure it is accurate, up to date, and easily understandable.”
