The good weather is officially gone: Met Éireann have issued two separate weather warnings

Brace yourselves…

Yes. It’s time to officially accept that we’ve seen the end of the good weather for now.

T-shirt weather has been replaced by a need for sturdy waterproof jacket with an optional umbrella.

It’s going to get even worse today as Met Éireann have issued two separate weather warnings that will affect a portion of the country.

A status orange rain warning has been issued for Cork and Kerry.

The warning runs from 12am on Monday until 1am on Tuesday and will bring between 50 to 70mm of rainfall during its duration.

Another rain warning has also been issued for a number of Connacht counties with heavy rain expected in these areas also.

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for Galway, Mayo and Sligo and will run from 12am on Monday until 1am on Tuesday.

According to Met Éireann, the majority of next week will be dull, dreary and wet, with only occasional dry spells to break up the gloomy weather from now until next weekend.
