Grey’s Anatomy showrunner opens up about ‘unwanted touching’ by studio boss

Grey’s Anatomy showrunner, Krista Vernoff, has posted a number of tweets about unwanted touching she received from a studio boss. While she admitted that she is not making accusations of harassment, there are certain things that just make a woman uncomfortable. Krista, who has been writing for Grey's Anatomy since 2005 (god bless you for that) revealed her experience on Twitter. "The studio president liked to give shoulder massages. He was a nice guy. I don't think he had any ill intentions, I do not think he was sexually inappropriate. But I don't ever get neck massages." "I don't let friends or boyfriends rub my neck - because I always end up at the chiropractor after. And this powerful man gave a powerful massage. He was unintentionally hurting me and I was afraid to ask him to stop."

Key word here: afraid. "I was afraid to offend him."

"Because he had so much power and I needed him on my side because I wanted my show on the air. So I let him rub my neck through meetings and I just kept going to the chiropractor."

She rounded up the twitter thread with a message to all of the women who have been brave enough to speak out. "When multiple women in Hollywood are brave enough to speak up about one powerful man? I believe them." Fair play to her, and to all the women involved.
