A gunman took seven people hostage in Paris in a travel agency.
The incident, which occurred in southern Paris appears to be a robbery, Reuters added that the incident did not appear to be linked to terrorism.
Armed police are on the scene.
“Intervention under way in an armed robbery. Drivers should avoid the area” of the Massena boulevard in the Porte d’Italie area in the south of the French capital, local police tweeted according to AFP.

The travel agency, is used in particular by Asian customers who deal in cash transactions.
A recent update stated that the hostages are now safe but the thief is on the run.
