The 57-year-old said that he suffered abuse at the hands of an unnamed man when he was in his final year of acting school.
After speaking out in support of Lupita Nyong’o, the actor was asked about his experiences and said:
“It wasn’t as extended and awful as what Lupita went through, but it was the same thing,” he revealed to Access Hollywood. “It was the casting couch and I didn’t understand quite what was going on, what was happening – I thought it was my fault.”
