Heading to Longitude? Here are some things you need to know

We're beyond excited!

Denise Curtin

Longitude is coming and it’s safe to say we are buzzing.

Since the lineup was released in February, we’ve been outfit planning and prepping for this coming weekend. (This is absolute lies, we are utterly unorganised as per usual BUT we have been waiting in anticipation the past five months).

And now, we are so ready to see everyone from Post Malone to Solange take to the stage for what is sure to be a weekend we’ll never forget.

But, to ensure it is a memorable one, there are some things you should know before arriving at the festival this weekend.

Here’s what you need to know…

Gates open at 1:30pm every day.

Large bags and backpacks will not be allowed into the festival.

Do not arrive at the event drunk as you will not gain entry.

Wristband exchange is only for people with two-day or three-day tickets.

There is no re-admission to single day ticket holders.

Banned items include alcohol, drinks, selfie sticks, backpacks, umbrellas, fold-up chairs and Go Pro’s – which will be confiscated and not returned.

Age Policy

No unaccompanied under 16’s are allowed on site. All under 16’s require a ticket to the event and must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult, parent or guardian over 18. Note you may be asked to prove your age with photo ID or you will be refused admission.

Acceptable forms of ID include a Passport, Garda Age Card or a Driving Licence. Acceptable forms of ID for Under 18’s include a School or College ID PLUS a colour copy of your in-date passport.

ALL bars on the festival grounds will also ask for ID if you look under 21 to purchase alcohol.

Additional notes

Please note the weather on the day of the festival and dress accordingly. This is an outdoor festival and therefore the weather can affect the grounds. Rain ponchos will not be provided and umbrellas are NOT allowed.

Any form of antisocial behaviour, crowd surfing, moshing or public urination will not be tolerated. The promoter reserves the right to refuse admission, or to remove from the venue, anyone taking part in these activities without a refund.

It is up to you to note the location of entry and exit gates as well as emergency exits, first aid posts and water points and it is urged that you do this at the beginning of the festival.

And lastly, the lineup!

The lineup for the festival is absolutely incredible so, to make sure you see everyone and everything you wanted, make sure you take note of the stage times for each act.
