Here’s where you can check which pharmacies are participating in the vaccine rollout

Alan Loughnane

In case you were wondering.

On Friday, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly announced the vaccine programme would be accelerated for those aged 18 to 34.

From Monday, 5 July, pharmacies would begin offering vaccines to this cohort, beginning with Janssen vaccines and eventually incorporating AstraZeneca vaccines.

“Pharmacies will begin administering Janssen to people aged 18 to 34 who have contacted their pharmacy, registered with their pharmacy and said, ‘I’d like to be vaccinated, I appreciate that I will be getting an mRNA vaccine in the future but I want to get vaccinated now’,” Donnelly said.

For those wondering which pharmacy they can contact in order to book a vaccine, the HSE has compiled a list of those which are currently administering vaccines.

It should be noted that just because a pharmacy is included on the list, it does not necessarily mean that it will have vaccines in stock or will be able to accommodate you.

Around 750 pharmacies across the country are participating in the vaccine rollout and there are currently around 40,000 doses of Janssen already in these pharmacies while there are another 100,000 doses in Government storage.

A full list of all the participating pharmacies can be read here.
