
American film and television actress Shirley Temple has died. She was 85.
The acclaimed actress was a huge star even before she even turned 10 years of age, with her on-screen influence being greatly regarded as monumental on the child stars of modern-day cinema.
The Hollywood star died this Monday at her home in California, from natural causes.
"She was surrounded by her family and caregivers," a statement from her family said.
"We salute her for a life of remarkable achievements as an actor, as a diplomat, and... our beloved mother, grandmother [and] great-grandmother."
