Las Ramblas is a popular tourist area in Barcelona due to its market stalls, bars and restaurants.
Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said he is in contact with all authorities and the priority at the moment is to attend to the injured. Aamer Anwar was walking down Las Ramblas when the incident happened, he told Sky News: "All of a sudden, I just sort of heard a crashing noise and the whole street just started to run, screaming.
