Gardaí have tonight launched an investigation into the death of a 45-year-old man in Rathfarnham.
The body of the man was found at his home in Marley Court by a relative shortly after 6pm this evening and it was initially believed that he had been fatally injured in a fall.
However, according to RTE News, a doctor called to the scene discovered wounds on the victim’s back that were not consistent with such an accident. Gardaí are now said to be treating the death as suspicious and the scene has been preserved, pending an examination by the State Pathologist.
