An investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found in Co Louth.
The woman was discovered in a house in Clonmore, Ardee this morning after Gardaí were called to the scene.
RTE reports that the woman appeared to have sustained serious injuries. It is thought that she may have suffered a violent death.
A 35-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the death.
The investigation is ongoing.
