Anyone for a snow day?

We all know that Irish weather is unpredictable; one minute the sun is out, and the next minute there’s snow on the ground.

Anything can happen, it keeps things interesting.

Anyway, the latest weather news comes in the form of a snow storm, which is due to hit Ireland before the end of January.

The forecast from European weather chart, Wxcharts, predicts that snow will hit Ireland between January 22 and 24.

However, Irish forecasters aren’t so certain.

Forecaster Gerry Murphy said:

“Sudden stratospheric warming at the start of the month can sometimes bring cold weather to this part of the world.”

“It increases the possibility of very cold weather at the end of the month, but that doesn’t mean it will happen.”

“It depends on a lot of factors and it’s simply too far away to predict.”

Six inches of snow is expected for the UK, with a lesser two inches forecasted for Ireland.

Like we said though, Irish weather is unpredictable.

We’ll have to wait and see.
