An Irish blogger accused of harassing a BBC presenter has been warned against contacting the star.

Frances Winston is accused of engaging in an online campaign of harassment directed at Cbeebies presenter Ferne Corrigan.

The blogger and comedian is said to have used multiple platforms to harass Corrigan in a “very public way.”

RTE reports that the court heard today that Corrigan, who presents Cbeebies kids programmes My Pet And Me and Ferne and Rory’s Vet Tales, is the daughter of the defendant’s former partner.

Winston was warned by Gardaí to not make any further contact with Corrigan, or members of her family, until she decides how she will plead.

The 45-year-old was told that failing to do so could lead to further charges being held against her.

She is currently facing one count under Section 10.1 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act due to repeated online harassment between February 19 2016 and May 20 2017.

Winston has two months to decide how she will plead.
