This will go up accordingly, so if a driver is going 30km ph over the limit, they would receive six points and a €200 fine.

That will no longer be the case, if Minister Ross's legislation is approved.
Sources have said that the proposal is a direct result of the introduction of the Clancy Amendment.
The Minister's proposal will also include an increase in speeding fines.
